The Situation
Every year, The Princess Margaret Foundation hosts the One Life Gala, a philanthropic event to help raise funds for research in the fight against cancer. As with all fundraising initiatives, The Princess Margaret is nothing without its sponsors and the valuable contributions they provide. They needed a way to not only garner more ticket sales, but create an avenue to celebrate their partnerships and encourage future sponsorship of the One Life Gala.
The Solution
As the lead marketing sponsor for this incredible event, we crafted the social media strategy & implementation for One Life Gala’s new social platforms on Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as print collateral for Canada’s most notable press, including Globe & Mail and The Star.
Best of all, we hosted an integrated media activation at the event with an 8-foot cancer ribbon and an active live art installation where we asked all attendees one simple question: What is your one life wish? Combined with aggregated answers through our social media channels, over 400 attendees participated in the live art installation. Together we helped raise over $460,000 for research done by Princess Margaret Cancer Centre toward early detection of cancer, and the generous support of all sponsors and donors to the incredible One Life Gala made it happen.
